Our story began one dark winter’s evening, walking to a carpark where I had parked my motorcycle earlier that day on my commute to work where I found it had sadly been stolen. Rather than rush to replace my fossil fuel burning two-wheeler, I took a moment to think about my commute and whether a more sustainable and healthier alternative existed.

And the more I thought about it, the more benefits I could see. Not just for me, but for others. What a way to get out, get some exercise and fresh air and have the bike assist you to move you along.

To me, e-bikes are the perfect solution to making cycling accessible to more people and help promote a healthier, more sustainable way of life.

And so Charge My Ride was born – a destination for quality e-bikes from the UK’s top e-bike brands.

Although a keen cyclist for many years, I didn’t quite fancy arriving at work sweating from the effort of cycling and also knew I wouldn’t enjoy a long cycle home at the end of a tiring day at work.

Then I discovered e-bikes! The more I thought about it, the more benefits I could see. The electric motor would take the load off and help me pedal with less effort, and I could use the increasing number of dedicated cycle lanes to avoid traffic and get where I wanted to go a lot faster. A win-win as far as I was concerned.
